BBL HEROic is Sciton's next-generation BroadBand Light platform — intense pulsed light (IPL) refined with proprietary Intelligent Control (IC) and Skin Positioning System (SPS) technology for effortlessly consistent, non-invasive results.
Quick pulses of light travel through the upper layers of the skin, where pigment absorbs the energy. Your body's own biology takes it from there — clearing away damaged, pigmented cells and replacing them with new, healthier ones. Many patients notice results after just one or two treatments, with smoother, more even-toned skin emerging about one to two weeks after each session — and continued improvement over the following weeks to months.
Minimal to none — most patients resume normal activities right away. Expect possible mild redness or a brief sunburn-like feeling. Avoid direct sun for a few days, wear broad-spectrum sunscreen, and give makeup a day or two off if possible.
Treatments are generally well-tolerated and not considered painful — you may feel a warm "snapping" sensation, and no topical anesthesia is required. Your comfort is our priority throughout.
